Changing shell holders is a breeze and the press holds standard 7/8" x 14TPI dies from any manufacturer. The high quality steel ram is one inch in diameter and the 3 7/8" opening allows you to reload cartridges up to 3.7 inches tall. Since this is an open concept design and the Brass Smith is a true ambidextrous press that can be accessed from either side and mounted the same.
