Caution with respect to twist rate. Twist rate varies greatly in this caliber from 1:14 in most .22-250 to 1:8 in .223 Rem.  and even 1:7 in some AR-15 barrels; Long heavy bullets will not stabilize in 1:14 twist. Although the ability for the bullet to stabilize is some what dependant on altitude, air density, velocity and bullet design. Short stubby blunt bullets are more likely to stabilize then copper bullets with boat tails and polymer tips. It is difficult to get most bullets to stabilize over 55 grains in a twist rate of 1:14. With low density copper bullets the weight to stabilize can be as low as 45 grains. in most factory 22-250 are 1:14.
