Shot two elephants with this bullet loaded in a 500 Jeffrey. One frontal brain shot at 15 yards, one with a heart shot. The brain shot went right down, the bullet went so deep it was not recovered. With the heart shot elephant the bullet passed thru and exited the opposite side. Knocked him off his feet, got up and ran 50 yards. I have examined these bullets very close and have fired well over 300 in both my 500 Jeffrey and 500 Nitro Express and it is a excellent elephant bullet at any price. It is truly a real copper alloy clad jacket where the copper is thick enough over the steel jacket so only copper comes in contact with your barrel as recovered bullets proved. The steel jacket in the nose in front of the barring surface is very thick. I tried to crush one of these in a vise and was not able to. I use the same powder charge I use when logging Barnes solids, pressure and point of aim are the same.

Shot two elephants with this bullet loaded in a 500 Jeffrey. One frontal brain shot at 15 yards, one with a heart shot. The brain shot went right down, the bullet went so deep it was not recovered.
