32 Short Colt
The 32 Short Colt (32 Long Colt) was introduced as a blackpowder cartridge in 1875. There was both a Short and Long version, but Colt's 32 cartridges, though extremely similar, are not interchangeable with the more popular 32 S&W cartridges. Although very mild in power, the 32 Colt cartridges are also mild in recoil and were popular for plinking and personal defense. — Craig Boddington
